Voting and Karma:
Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts.
While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps maintain content quality and community standards.

Reddit Premium:
Purchase Reddit Premium to enjoy an ads-free experience and access to premium avatar gear, r/lounge, custom app icons, and more.

Payment will be charged on a recurring monthly or annual basis to your Google Play account. Your monthly or annual Premium subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before your subscription ends. Cancel anytime in your device’s Account Settings. No partial refunds.

There's a new bug in the most recent build. It cuts off the bottom of the viewing window, with the text entry field. So the bottom of comments are cut off by nearly two hole lines of text. It also, cuts off the reply and other options. Also, I just noticed that it happens when going to a post/comment via push notifications on the phone.

Edit: now the sort function doesn't work. Lowering to one star. I didn't realize how bad the native reddit app was until we were forced to use it. It lacks many of the standard features of the old 3rd party apps, like zooming on gifs/videos. Also, after browsing for a few minutes, mine will randomly take 30 seconds or more to load links. Closing and reopening doesn't help. It's a shame that Reddit completely ruined the mobile experience over some money.

app recently updated. Got stuck in anonymous browsing and couldn't get back into the regular browsing. Uninstalled and lost my main account I've had for several years. App is not good even before this incident. After the recent update you can't see the bottom of the threads because of the invasive UI to "join the conversation". Oh well, not going back. I'd use at your own risk. Very likely lose your account. I found tons of examples of this the past few days but can't open Reddit wo app. Trash
