I'm a founding member. This has been the best trail map database, but this year I have not been able to get downloaded regions to show up if I start the app offline. This is a crucial feature. Like, when I'm at a trailhead in the woods, wanting to navigate, no trails show up. No background tiles show up. I've reinstalled the app, removed and redownloaded the regions individually, gone into offline settings to select them manually, nothing has worked. Why am I paying for this?

There is a hotfix version submitted to Google today for review to fix this issue. The issue has been around for just over a month.

Update: the app isn't getting any better, super glitchy or "syncing" takes forever making the app useless. Total disappointment. I think this app is loosing focus and purpose. Now also it pretends to be a social media app, there are plenty of options that are free for social media. It's getting buggy with every new feature. I have been a supporter of the app for a long time and paying for the pro version of it but it isn't stable enough for the price.

There is an option in the app settings to disable the feed from opening by default. It also closes automatically soon as you interact with the map. Its not about being a social media app, there is that aspect, but its a secondary one. The feed is most powerful for discovery, especially the nearby feed.

I'm very disappointed in what this app has become. I've been using it since it was completely free. It has recently become useless. I can't get trails to render on the map. It will not download data which is one of the reasons I pay the subscription. My confidence with this app in new unfamiliar trails is gone. I can't count on Trailforks to get me in or out of trail systems safely.
