An unexpected (but very welcome) sequel to Knights of Pen and Paper 2. It's much easier to get more party members and professions, and additional classes are no longer hidden behind a paywall which is great. The issue is with leveling up skills and getting equipment. Skills can only be leveled up by books that rarely drop from enemies, by luck as a level up reward, or by buying stuff. You'll have level 12 characters with at most level 4 skills. No prob early on, but you feel the effects fast.

The monetization is so damn greedy here. I played for half an hour, and saw the diamonds were only used for level up. So I was like, okay, that's fair. I'll give you 20 ILS. But holy hell was I mistaken. Every aspect of progress in the game is tied to these diamonds, and the rate at which th demand grows is ridiculously fast, while each quest only gives one. It makes it unplayable even with a small in game purchase. Gotta either be a whale or be stuck. Very disappointing.

This game sucks if you compare it to the other two knights of pen and paper games. It is a downgrade in everything that has to do with creating a party and gameplay but it's very pretty looking. The jokes about the great paywall are funny when rare gear isn't available for real money at the start. Maybe the game is structured to have a strong end game set of customization or options I'm not getting towards the start? Play knights of pen and paper 2 instead first. I was let down sadly with 3.

There's tooltips for almost everything in the game if you long-press them.
