I'm really impressed with the Tapo security system. Researched both through Amazon and independent sites. Tapo had great results. Bought two. Easy to set up and install. Picture quality good. Both cameras have been in location for 3 days, and there's been hardly any battery used. Use SD cards for storage, so there is no cost for cloud storage. Would definitely recommend and are good value for the price.

I have many products and the app is great for managing them all. I'm just not impressed with the D230 doorbell. 1 - the detection zones don't work well and I still get motion captured outside these zones. 2 - the latest firmware update keeps telling me my barter is staining too fast - even when the battery is not installed and is currently charging. I already have the sensitivity set low, it would be great to be able to dismiss this notification once and always.

The app is rubbish. 50% of the time I click on home or away and it fails to change the status. Same on both WiFi or 5G. I wouldn't have to do this manually if the geo fencing automation ever actually worked and activated or deactivated the cameras when I leave or return home. Response to reply... Not sure how I can send you a screenshot of the app not identifying I've left home with my phone. Other apps with the same setting like Nest perfectly adjust when I leave and return.
